Sujit Choudhry Creates Countries

Sujit Choudhry is known the world over as the one expert on constitutional law as well as the politics involved. He founded his own nonprofit, the Center for Constitutional Transitions, and he wields this non profit to increase awareness of how a constitution can form anywhere in the world.

Sujit Choudhry became the expert that he is by attending the University of Oxford as an undergrad and receiving his bachelor’s degree there.  Related article on  He would then go on to get his graduate degree from none other than the University of Harvard. Having this kind of prestige, he would then become a law professor at the University of Berkeley. Sujit Choudhry Has spoken in over 25 countries so that he could assist them and crafting constitutions for their governments. Some of these countries are Jordan, Egypt, and Libya.  More to read here.

Since Sujit Choudhry has all this experience, the Ukrainian government approached him to see if he would be interested in being part of a think tank that could help them craft a better Constitution. During this time, the Ukrainian government was facing several problems. The first problem that they found themselves facing was that they had Consolidated the power of the presidency too much. The second probably had was weak parties were trying to run for office. The third and last problem they had was that their electoral system based on legislature was not producing the results they thought it would.

Sujit Choudhry join the think tank and began to plot a way forward for the Ukrainian government. It was through the expert advice of several different nonprofits and loss centers in the world, that the Ukrainian government was given the clear direction of how to proceed.  For his added info, hit on
